Why doesn't Lambert quote prices on the website and how can the products be purchased?

Lambert Corporation is a manufacturer and as such, our products are sold through local, national and international distributors. Lambert does not set a manufacturer's suggested retail price so can not provide any price information on our website. Our distributors set the price for each product based on what the market will bear in their local area.

If you are in a state listed on our contacts page, please contact the local Sales Representative.

If you are in any other state or outside the United States, please contact the corporate office for assistance locating a distributor in your area.  If no distributor is available in your region, we will try to meet your needs as best we can.  Please contact our corporate office to discuss available options.

We ship nationally coast-to-coast and internationally via freight forwarder of your choice.

How is the order shipped?  What freight carriers does Lambert use?

Small orders: One or two pails or a few of the 3 or 5# boxes of DRY material may be shipped via UPS to a commercial or a residential address for a little bit more. UPS will leave material at the doorstep without a signature.
Larger orders and orders containing liquid material: must be shipped via common carrier. Lambert Corporation has excellent discounts with many national freight lines and will get you the best rate possible.  Some of the carriers we use: ESTES, R&L Carriers, Fed Ex Freight, SAIA, Averitt, Super Transport and others.

Our distributors can define where they want the product shipped.  Common Carrier freight options available:
DISTRIBUTOR  or CUSTOMER'S  LOCAL BUSINESS ADDRESS: We can ship to a business address where semi trucks are able to deliver, at no additional charge. (Home based businesses are NOT considered commercial addresses for commercial carriers)
JOBSITE LOCATION: an additional common carrier fee of $20 - $40 is charged to go onto a jobsite to deliver the product.
FREIGHT TERMINAL: You may have your order held on the dock of a freight terminal close to you at no additional charge, as long as it is picked up within 48 hours. This option is the fastest usually.
CUSTOMER HOME ADDRESS: Larger orders and orders containing liquid material can be sent to a residential address for an additional common carrier fee of $20 - $60, however unlike UPS, someone MUST be there to sign for the shipment.

How much cement color do I need?    Use our online calculation form!
Or see the sample below to see how the calculation works:

Check our integral color chart for a color that suits the application.
Use the number of pounds shown under the color per 94# bag of cement used.

Example:
Gray Cement/Autumn Brown has 3 different shades
To achieve the:
FOR EACH 94# bag of cement:

15# of color   (3# x 5 sacks)

Are the colors on the online charts accurate?
Though great care has been taken to display accurate colors, every computer monitor has slightly different tones.  Monitors may have extra blue, extra green, or extra red, or display grayer, or whiter, just like a bank of televisions show the same picture, but have different tonal quality.  Online chart is for quick reference only.  Please request a printed chart for best matching.  COLORS SHOWN MAY VARY FROM ACTUAL PRODUCT COLOR.

Is a second coat really necessary?       Yes!    (for both Plexgard and Colorcoat)

Sample shown is Publix Gray Colorcoat (formerly Stain SB)
Single coat.
Most of the color has been absorbed into the semi-porous surface
Two coats.
The second image reflects
a true color.

I ordered more Plexgard, but the color is slightly different this time.  Why?
As with paints and stains, due to the nature of material in manufacturing, colors can vary slightly between production lots. We are not able to guarantee exact matches on subsequent orders of liquid colors Plexgard and Colorcoat.

When possible, order enough material for the entire project.
If using pails from different batches we recommend "boxing" the colors: mixing and blending colors by pouring from one container to another several times to ensure thorough blending and uniform color throughout the pails.

Does Lambert offer an acid stain?
No.  Acid stains require production methods that are not compatible with existing Lambert Corporation production methods.  Consider Lambert's Colorcoat or Plexgard instead for more color options, opaque coverage that hides flaws, both products have sealer characteristics and Lambco Text can be added for slip resistance.

What product is recommended to color a driveway?

New driveway:
Mix in color:  If the driveway has not been poured yet, consider using Lambco Color dry pigment to add color throughout the concrete, or
Dust-on the color:  If the driveway has not been poured yet, consider using Colorhard or Colorbrite to add color and harden the surface of the concrete, or
Apply a surface color coating: Colorcoat after the drive has cured.

Existing driveway: apply a surface color coating.   Colorcoat works well on surfaces with vehicular traffic such as garages, driveways, walkways.  The chart of available surface applied colors is online for quick reference.  (NOTE: do not apply Plexgard to a driveway, garage floor or other surface with vehicular traffic!)

Tips for viewing the literature (and reference MSDS, Specs) on Lambert website:
1) MOST IMPORTANT:  To view our Spec and MSDS documents (and several reference items on our website), you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5 (earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat will not open the documents so it appears that the link is faulty).  If needed, you can download the latest copy of the free reader from this address:  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

2) Wait for the full page to load before trying to access a reference page. Some browser versions hesitate and will not load the reference .pdf document even when the current version of Acrobat is installed.  Reload/Refresh the page and allow the full page (and all images) to finish loading.  Try opening the reference .pdf document again.

3) Right click the product link on the SPEC and MSDS page, choose SAVE TARGET AS to save the file to your computer.  Then open the file from within your computer. This resolves the vast majority of browser/viewer issues as long as you have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5.  It is also the FASTEST way to load the document.
